Email inbox still empty

My email box is rather lonely apart from Black Friday deals from Microsoft, etc. I have contacted Joseph. He shared his blog with me. It looks about as detailed as mine. I asked him whether he figured out Sulis. He said he had but there had been nothing on there of note aside from some minimal back and forth. I don't know what to offer the team at this point and the project is almost due. I'm starting to think this was all there was to it.

Sulis

I've not yet figured out Sulis. I read through the assignment instructions and find that Sulis is not actually *required* but suggested or else we are meant to record the interactions we have. Since the teams have already been communicating on email, I check my email to see whether there have been more communications. There have not been. I read over assignment requirements again. I'm not sure what else I can even do.

The French team

From what I understand, the French team is working on the translating now. I've received no further emails and I understand we are meant to be setting up accounts on Sulis. At first glance, Sulis seems a bit user unfriendly but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I've still got that strange empty-handed feeling like I must have missed something and I'm not doing any real work here.

Feedback.

The Irish team has taken all of my notes into consideration. I was sort of surprised that they did this and didn't offer any resistance at any juncture. Apparently they decided to go with the American pluralizations "Amazon is."  They wondered why I changed the color of the letters so as not to match the drop down list. It was one of the things we discussed in my technical editing class, so I explained as much.  I find that I'm not 100% sure of my place in this. I'm not clear on whether I should be taking the lead or following on the writing as the delegation of duties seemed to have taken place before I offered my input.

Edits.

I've taken a look at what the Irish team has drawn up for the Amazon write-up. It's beautiful. I can hardly find much to edit. I add in a few things here and there. I don't think the text ought to change color. I make sure the indents are standardized throughout the document. I check quotation marks, semicolons, etc. The only thing I can really see is that there are some discrepancies in Irish English and American English with specific reference to pluralizing. Where we say "Amazon is" they say "Amazon are."  I'm not really sure to whose country we should be standardizing this. In the email I sent back, I made note of it and asked the group for input.

Found Joseph

Joseph responded on facebook today. I suggested that we make the manual 900 words or so of how to set up a facebook account. I figure that will probably be very easy to figure out and then even easier to translate since facebook is available in most languages and definitely French. I know from experience doing translating work in Norway that it can sometimes be a bit tricky to guess at words to describe very specific things like the soles of a person's feet or the wrinkles that form specifically at the sides of an eye.  Facebook being already translated to French will certainly assist them.

Joseph informs me that the Irish team has already done the job. They've written about Amazon and we have to give them our edits soon.

Blogs

Got Joseph's attention on Facebook today. We discussed what we'd be doing with the blogs. He asked what platform I preferred. I advised him that I'd worked with both wordpress and blogger in the past and found blogger to be the easier platform to use so long as the website is not going to be monetized.  It's easy enough to set up for just a written post sort of format. I'd already set up a blog and only had the one post. We don't have much done, and I'm feeling a bit insecure about the sheer volume of time we've been given to do what seems to be like such a little project. I'm wondering if I've missed something. Joseph seems to have the same impression.
